A Deal Facilitator is an entity that helps coordinate deals between a you and the Deal Sponsor, and sends you payment. While you have to enter a Deal Sponsor for every deal, you should only add a Deal Facilitator if they are paying you, your LLC, or your representative. The Deal Sponsor is the business who you are likely promoting through your deal activities.
Some examples of a Deal Facilitator include marketing agencies, institution multimedia rights holders (e.g., [Name/Mascot] Sports Properties), collectives operating as agencies, and online NIL marketplaces.
Dos & Don’ts of Entering Facilitators
Do enter a facilitator if:
You are being paid by a business that is not your Sponsor
Your LLC is being paid by a business that is not your Sponsor
Your representative is being paid by a business that is not your Sponsor
Don’t enter:
Your representative
Your Sponsor
A business that is not paying you
You will also be asked to enter the contact information for an individual with both Sponsor and the Facilitator, so they can receive a form requesting additional information about their business.
